Shure Beta58a
Industry standard vocal microphone, especially for louder stages and genres where a more midrange-focused vocal sound is required such as hard rock and metal. Also excellent as a general-purpose male vocal microphone. Supercardioid polar pattern, hardened steel grille and other upgrades makes this a good alternative to the SM58.

LR Baggs Lyric Acoustic Guitar Microphone
Although this looks like a pickup it is in fact a microphone. Achieves a far more natural sound than simple under-saddle piezo transducers and is very simple to install with no modifications required to the guitar. Read the full review here.
